Description

One man and six unknown, almost invisible bodies sit motionless in different positions of supplication facing an empty electric chair in a silent, dark room. They wait for their death, which comes to them one by one. They have the choice between death and the chair. The choir sings a requiem under the direction of a tireless maestro, upheld by the law and dictating his system through a hymn: "No truth, no apathy! Be a spectator to your own desolation »

The hand that gives the order is sometimes invisible, but often known, or otherwise imagined by our own consciousness and the consciousness of the common folk as dictated by the period, the circumstances and the system that governs. Here holding the maestro’s baton the invisible hand is represented, pictured through a caricature giving direction to the orchestra performing these snippets of requiem accompanying the whole sequence of tragic events.

The story takes place in an illegal detention cell. The tyrant feasts while his prey undergoes torture and meets one by one a tragic end.

One of the detainees thinks aloud making his confession but also questioning fellow observers, who today are complicit in the larger disaster that the world is now experiencing.
